Sleep Apnea and Snoring Solutions

We have diagnostic equipment to easily evaluate sleep problems.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) frequently goes undiagnosed because people often mistake this serious sleep disorder for snoring. About half of loud snorers have some form of sleep apnea.

Snoring and sleep apnea have similar causes. Sleep apnea happens when the airway is blocked, causing a pause in breathing. The blockage keeps oxygen from reaching your organs including your heart and brain. Snorers who suffer from sleep apnea may make gasping, choking or snorting sounds as they try to breathe during sleep.

Our practice has the diagnostic equipment to easily evaluate sleep problems. With a quick, painless check using the equipment in our office, we can test your airways. Then, if indicated, we can send you home with a mini-computer that will monitor your sleep. That digital diagnosis is forwarded to a physician who can recommend treatment. Because this is a medical procedure, your medical insurance may cover the cost of this treatment. Our office would be happy to pre-authorize this procedure with your medical insurance carrier to see if you would qualify for reimbursement.
